A reminder to all parents - All practices, football games, performances, and competitions are mandatory and count towards your student’s  grade.  Mr. Burn may assign a make-up assignment, which is due to him before the game.

GREEN PEP SHIRTS ARE IN

If you purchased or rented a shirt that was not in stock at the time of your uniform fitting, come pick it up after tomorrow night’s practice.  I will be next to the Scrip table outside the Band Room.  You will need this shirt for Friday’s game.

 

SCHEDULE FOR FIRST FOOTBALL GAME!

Our first football game will be on Friday, September 6th.     The FULL marching band, including Front Ensemble and Guard, are required to be there.
 
Marching band members should arrive at 6 pm in the main quad with instruments for warmup.
 
The required uniform for the game will be green pep band shirts and BLUE jeans (not black, not tan, not white…. They should be the color BLUE).    Please make sure they are LONG pants, not capris, not shorts. 
 
Just a reminder, your outer layer needs to be either your green pep band shirt or your green band jacket.  If you don’t have a band jacket yet, you can wear a long sleeved shirt UNDER your green pep band shirt.
 
The following is the schedule for Friday:
6pm-                     Warmup in quad
7pm-                     Pregame concert on track with guard
7:30pm-                 Varsity game starts; band in stands to play pep band music
Halftime-                Play standstill field show music on track with pit and guard
Rest of Game-         Band in stands playing pep band music
3rd qtr-                   Eat concession food!  Pre-order is the way to go!
4th qtr-                   Band in stands playing pep band music
 

 

LAST CHANCE TO BUY CONCESSION WORKER FAMILY PASS IS THURSDAY!!

The cost of the pass is $40.00.  It will admit 2 adults and school age children younger than high school age, into all Homestead “Home” football games, as long as the cardholder is volunteering during the game.  Personnel at the gate will have a list of volunteers, so if you haven’t officially volunteered to help on a particular night, you won’t gain access.  The regular admission price to a home football game is $8 per adult per game and there are 6 home games in the season.

 

Please contact Vicki Feltman at Vicki.feltman@gmail.com or the scrip sellers at scrip@homestead-music.org to purchase a Concession Worker Family Pass no later than Thursday, September 5th.   We will give the list of concession worker pass holders to the ASB office Friday

 

 

REMINDER, WE HAVE SATURDAY PRACTICE 9AM-5PM

This applies to the full marching band, which means brass, woodwind, percussion, and guard. 

 

Students will usually be dismissed for lunch at 12:30.

 

 

SATURDAY PRACTICE LOGISTICS

Students, please leave your instrument cases and bags in the bleachers.

 

We need access to the entire front of the snack shack at all times.   We need the path CLEAR from the stadium gates to the stadium field at all times.   We have asked this more than once.

 

We might have to suspend water and ice service if we don’t get your cooperation.

BAND ROOM AVAILABILITY

The following is the band room/band office availability for September:

 

When there are Monday night and Wednesday night practices, the band office will be open until 8:30 pm The only exception will be Back to School Night, Wed Sept 18th, when all of you parents will be busy following your students’ schedules and the band office will be closed.

 

Tue/Thurs/Fri the band room/band office will be open until 6 pm.

 

Saturday, the band room/band office will be open from 9am-5pm
