You've worked hard polishing that Solo Ensemble piece, now here's an opportunity to use your talents to benefit the community! Forte will be performing for patients at Valley Medical Center on Sunday, 3/10, 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm and for senior citizens at
Lytton Gardens Senior Communities in Palo Alto on Monday, 3/18 (teacher work day), 3:30 pm to about 4:30 pm, and we're inviting you to share your music. All musical performance types are welcome, and this is a great way to practice performing in front of an audience. Email with your name and a description of your ensemble (piece, number of people, instrumentation) if you'd like to perform. We hope you can join us!

After all these years, alumnus Lois Okino is stepping down from her very important position of Alumni Blast Coordinator.

She has diligently read our weekly blasts and narrowed the content down to what alumni might like to know, such as competition results, schedule of events, etc.  Alumni no longer need the nitty gritty what-time-should-students-show-up-and-what-should-they-wear articles.

We are looking for someone else to take over this position.  You dont need to be an alumni, but we also would love alumni participation!

Please contact Lois at or Vicki Feltman at for more information.

In an effort to keep the per-student marching band cost as low as possible, and considering that we now have better facilities here at Homestead than where we usually go for band camp, we are planning to hold band camp rehearsals at Homestead and not go out of town in August. We are looking at the idea of a doing a sleep-over in the gym for one night, but we haven't scheduled that date yet.

For those of you already making summer plans, please plan to be back from your your vacations by July 31st, to start mandatory marching band activities beginning August 1st.  We don’t know times or activities yet, so once again, we will live the band motto…. Flexibility.   More information will be announced as we receive it.

Scrip is sold Fridays 2:15-3:15.  In case of rain, scrip sales will be in the band room.   Please contact us if you need to make other arrangements to purchase scrip.
