WANTED - ALUMNI BLAST COORDINATOR (Vicki Feltman)
After all these years, alumnus Lois Okino is stepping down from her very important position of Alumni Blast Coordinator.
She has diligently read our weekly blasts and narrowed the content down to what alumni might like to know, such as competition results, schedule of events, etc. Alumni no longer need the nitty gritty what-time-should-students-show-up-and-what-should-they-wear articles.
We are looking for someone else to take over this position. You don’t need to be an alumni, but we also would love alumni participation!
Please contact Lois at lokino@yahoo.com or Vicki Feltman at vicki.feltman@gmail.com for more information.
MARCHING BAND SUMMER SCHEDULE (John Burn)
In an effort to keep the per-student marching band cost as low as possible, and considering that we now have better facilities here at Homestead than where we usually go for band camp, we are planning to hold band camp rehearsals at Homestead and not go out of town in August. We are looking at the idea of a doing a sleep-over in the gym for one night, but we haven't scheduled that date yet.
For those of you already making summer plans, please plan to be back from your your vacations by July 31st, to start mandatory marching band activities beginning August 1st. We don’t know times or activities yet, so once again, we will live the band motto…. Flexibility. More information will be announced as we receive it.
SCRIP (Suzanna Pedersen)
Scrip is sold Fridays 2:15-3:15. In case of rain, scrip sales will be in the band room. Please contact us if you need to make other arrangements to purchase scrip.
Scrip
order forms can be found at https://homestead.schoolloop.com/mbfund#SCRIP. Send your order or questions to scrip@homestead-music.org.
